The City of Vienna finances one “APART urban” fellowship per year.

APART is a fellowship programme of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. It is open to applicants from all fields of science.

Target group: young, highly qualified scientists who want to use the fellowship for the preparation of a post-doctoral thesis (Habilitation) or equivalent projects. The project may be carried out at a research institution in Austria as well as abroad.

Qualifications: age limit 35 years, minimum two years after the PhD, Austrian citizenship or performance of the project in Austria, publications (in peer-reviewed journals), research project for 2-3 years, reference to research in Austria.

Fellowship: 50.000,- EUR per year (pre-tax)

Duration: max. 36 months
