Instructions for applicants

• Please fill in the online data sheet (Online-Erfassungsbogen) and submit it. Your data are automatically forwarded to the data base of the Office for Fellowships and Awards of the OeAW.
• Please send 3 hard copies of all the requested documents and printed on one side only to our office incl. the printed version of the online data sheet.
  In addition, please send all documents as PDF-files via email.
• Please number all pages of your application (max. 40 pages).
• The project description and the CV must be written in English.
• You may exclude one potential reviewer from the review procedure.
• Incomplete applications are not accepted.
• Please do not use transparent sheets or staples and put the printed documents in the order listed below. The documents you submit will not be returned after the end of the evaluation process.
• Application deadline: May 15 each year (postmark)

A) Application Documents:

1. Online data sheet (Online-Erfassungsbogen)

2. tabular CV

3. Publication list –clearly arranged: Complete list of your scientific publications, inversely chronological, names of all authors, title, journal title,year, page numbers – in the following order: peer-reviewed journals (incl. accepted and submitted), books, editions, published conference papers, posters. Please also list those publications that come from your PhD thesis.

4. Invitation letter(s) from the host institution(s) and confirmation of willingness to provide a work space and to enable the research project to be carried out (one copy must bear the original signature).
If the host institution is not in Austria, a signed letter from an Austrian research institution must confirm the possibility of returning following the project’s completion.

5. Time schedule and work plan for the planned research stay abroad (travel expenses may be requested).

6. Separate breakdown of requested costs for material and/or equipment. Please use this form (LINK) for your account of the requested travel and material costs.
