The Otto Vogl Award was given for an outstanding master's thesis in the field of chemistry written at a university in Austria.
Eligible to apply were students who had completed their diploma/master's studies in the year before the application and had begun a doctoral or PhD program at a university in Austria.
The prize was established in memory of Otto Vogl (1927-2013), Professor of Polymer Sciences and a corresponding member abroad of the ÖAW, and was awarded from 2014 to 2020.
Seven early-career researchers were honored.
