Best Paper Award

Anniversary Fund of the City of Vienna for the OeAW

The Best Paper Award is given for an outstanding original article in the natural and technical sciences, mathematics or life sciences that has been published or accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed periodical no more than one year before the submission deadline.

Researchers (pre- and post-doc, max. five years after completing their doctorate/PhD studies) who have made a significant contribution to the publication as first or main author are invited to apply.

The research work for the submitted publication must have been carried out predominantly at an institute of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

The publication should be representative of the applicant's excellent research activities.

The awarding of the prize is decided by the Board of Trustees for the Anniversary Fund of the City of Vienna for the OeAW on the recommendation of an award committee appointed by the Division of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

   2. Abstract of the work submitted (1 page max.)
2. Dissertation

Processing

Upon receipt of your application, we will check that it is complete and meets the formal criteria and it will then be entered into the database of the Department of Fellowships and Awards.

Once the application has been checked for completeness, the applicant will receive confirmation by email.
