Johann Wilhelm Ritter von Mannagetta Promotion Awards for Medicine

Two Johann Wilhelm Ritter von Mannagetta Promotion Awards for Medicine are available for outstanding publications (original articles in peer-reviewed journals) in the field of medical research.

The awards are given for research work in the field of cancer research.

Submissions are invited form scientists who have completed their doctorate/PhD within the last four years, undertook their doctoral research in an Austrian university or are working at an Austrian university or research institution at the time of application. 

Selction procedure

Prize winners are selected by an anwards committee appointed by the Austrian Academy of Sciences. The committee may also consult external experts.

   1. tabular CV including list of publications
   2. letter of recommendation
   3. abstract of the work submitted (max. 1 page, in German and English)
   4. brief outline of the type and extent of the applicant´s contribution to the work submitted
2. Publications:
   1. a PDF file of the work submitted

Processing

Upon receipt of your application, we will check that it is complete and meets the formal criteria and it will then be entered into the database of the Department of Fellowships and Awards.

Once the application has been checked for completeness, the applicant will receive confirmation by email.
