CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE AWARD

Target Group

Young, highly qualified scientists in the dissertation stage who are Austrian citizens or who have lived in Austria for at least five years are invited to apply.

Application Requirements

• Completed studies of technical or computer sciences (incl. business informatics) and current PhD/doctoral studies (in Austria), whereby the start of the PhD/doctoral studies may not be more than three years ago.
• At least three scientific publications (peer-reviewed paper in a workshop proceedings / conference proceedings / journal) published as first author, the quality of which together with an exposé of the research work will be used to evaluate the application.
• Austrian citizenship or residence in Austria, that is, scientists who are not Austrian citizens can apply if they have been living and studying in Austria for at least five years at the time of submission.

Exceptions

Up to three years will be recognized upon proof of (child) care responsibilities; further exceptions will be made for disability or (chronic) illness.

Exceptions must be clarified by consulting the Office for Fellowships & Awards before submitting an application.
